THE CHRISTMAS BOOK FLOOD: Let's Make It An American Tradition

As writers, authors and readers, we truly need to show support of our own children's book publishing industry and BUY books. NOW, in this holiday season, is a wonderful time to do that.

Did you know that Iceland has an annual holiday called Jolabokaflod, which means Christmas Book Flood! For more about this amazing holiday, click here - Christmas Book Flood.

In the Icelandic spirit, this holiday season, I challenge each of you to buy at least ONE holiday book (whether it's Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.) and/or any book you like for yourself or as a gift. Post a picture of the book on social media with these hashtags #Jolabokaflod #ChristmasBookFloodUSA #BooksMakeGreatGifts #LiterallyLynneMarie  (and even add some of your own!)

Feel free to check out The Star in the Christmas Play or browse stores and suppliers for holiday and other titles. Let's show the world the power of our own Christmas Book Flood!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share this post on FB, Twitter, Instagram and/or your Blog!

I truly hope my colleagues, friends and family will join in the fun of this Christmas Book Flood USA and we start a tradition that will come alive and thrive for many, many years to come!
