SUMMARY: Once upon a time, a shivering squid swam through the cold winter water and spied a cozy sweater. From this chilly beginning, a comically heart-warming tale unfolds.
Although the sweater belongs to an octopus, the selfish squid quickly makes off with it. Still not warm enough, the squid keeps slipping through the ocean depths, helping himself to more clothes. Things heat up when the real owners come after their belongings!
MY NOTES: I always love a good origin tale and this one is fun! Featuring many fascinating deep sea creatures, in addition to the selfish, but adorably-drawn squid, this story is sure to delight little ones and may even challenge slightly older children to read and then write their own origin stories. Clever!
